A Message from David Chapman, ACMP Charlotte Chapter President
Wow – it’s already the end of June! I hope your summer is off to a great start, and maybe you’re finding some time to get away with family and friends for a vacation.
Summer notwithstanding, there is a lot happening with your local ACMP Chapter! The season officially kicked off in early May with the Annual ACMP conference. We had more than ten change managers from the Charlotte area attend and had lunch together on the first day – it’s one of the highlights every year. I look forward to seeing more Charlotte attendees at upcoming events.
Back home, we held our first “members only” networking event at the CapTech offices in downtown Charlotte on June 4th. Nearly twenty change practitioners attended and shared light hors d’oeuvres as we mingled, heard about all things ACMP Charlotte from our tireless Board of Directors, and most importantly, heard from our members. It was a terrific opportunity to celebrate the great things that are happening with the chapter and collectively discuss where we want to go in the future. Click here to view pictures from the event!
And, there’s more coming up! Keep an eye on your calendar for our ever-popular speed networking event, local networking lunches, and even a one-day change management training to be held by ChangeFit360 (a Qualified Education Provider) in early November where you can earn training credits towards your CCMP© certification.
As we shared back in February, the theme for this year for the Charlotte Chapter is “expand.” We’re doing that. Better even, we’re improving. As we move into our second year of being fully established, we’re learning what’s working well and how to improve. We hope you’re seeing this, too.
On that note, I’d invite you to let us know what you think (and what you’d like to see, as well as what we can do better). After all, this is your chapter. We want you to be a part of it and get a lot out of it.
Here’s to wishing you a great rest of the summer, and I’ll see you at the next event!
David Chapman, ACMP Charlotte Metro Chapter President
