A message from the President

March 5, 2019

2019 will be an important year for the ACMP Charlotte Metro chapter. Last year was our first full year of being an official ACMP chapter and I am thrilled with all that we accomplished. But there is much more we can do to achieve our vision and mission of:

  • Serving as a connection catalyst for change managers in the Charlotte region

  • Acting as ambassadors for the discipline of change management

  • Advocating for members by providing professional development and networking opportunities

The theme of 2019 is EXPAND!

We want to EXPAND our chapter’s connections, EXPAND our reach to other change managers and EXPAND membership and support of the chapter. Our goal is that ACMP Charlotte can help you EXPAND your knowledge, EXPAND your sphere of influence, EXPAND your network and EXPAND your horizons!

We need your help! Please join us in 2019 to help us achieve our expansion goals by becoming a committee member. If you’re interested, complete this survey and a member of our Board will reach out to you. Additionally, ACMP Charlotte is a 501(c) 3 non-profit so we can now accept tax-deductible donations. For all of our events this year, we will be providing you an opportunity to donate to the chapter when you register.

We know how crazy our lives and schedules can be, so if you can’t support us with some of your extra time, we would really appreciate any financial support you might provide!

I’m excited to share more about the events we will be hosting this year. On March 21, Dr. John Bennett from the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte will be joining us for an interactive and engaging evening of professional development. Michelle Yanahan from ChangeFit 360 will be offering a webinar on April 26 about how change management supports the achievement of business outcomes. And finally, we are expanding the number of networking opportunities for you. About once a quarter, a member of our Board will host a networking lunch in various parts of the city so you can get to know your fellow change managers. Our first lunch will be on April 1 in Southpark.

(Don’t forget: If you are CCMP™ certified, our professional development events count toward your PDUs for maintenance!)

Looking forward to a great year, Tamisha H. Jones, CCMP
